UTPA Information Security has disabled the Java application for Internet Explorer on all campus computers due to a vulnerability which can be exploited or compromised by malicious websites. Blackboard Learn will be unavailable Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 9:00pm until Friday, December 21, 2012 at 9:00am. During this window, Blackboard Learn will be updated to Service Pack 10. This maintenance is not expected to be service impacting, however we are notifying you just in case you experience any intermittent connectivity for few minutes during this maintenance window.

Blackboard learn has been experiencing intermittent service interruptions throughout the day. All users, students, faculty and staff, may have trouble logging in throughout the day. We are aware of the issue and are working with Blackboard support to correct the problem. We will post another update when we have more information.

The Blackboard Learn system was out of service longer than we expected during the planned maintenance update this weekend. On Sunday, July 8th, 2012 from 1:00am to 5:00am, Blackboard Learn will be undergoing maintenance requiring a service restart of our Blackboard Learn site. We anticipate less than one hour of service interruption during the window.
