UTPA is currently migrating its Learning Management System from Blackboard CE8 to Blackboard Learn 9.1 (Bb Learn). The transition to move between systems began during the spring 2012 semester, with the final implementation to occur in the spring 2013 semester.

“So far it has been a smooth transition for those professors who have taken up the challenge to move over the summer,” said COLTT Director Edgar Gonzalez.

During the 2012 fall semester, UTPA will be running two instances of Blackboard, the existing Blackboard CE8 and the new Bb Learn system. To ease the transition between platforms, faculty can take advantage of the many training sessions available and listed on the new COLTT website.
